Recorded north of Geneseo, NY and just east of the Genesee River in a marshy area that is part of a large flood plain. At 1:30 AM ,the sounds of Spring Peepers, Western Chorus Frog, and Northern Leopard Frog are heard. The (metallic grunt) mating call of a Virginia Rail can also be heard out in the marsh. The "pings" from my parked vehicle's exhaust cooling down was also picked up by the mics. Equipment used was a homemade 18" parabolic dish housing Sound Professionals mini binaural mics, along with a Sony MZ-NH1 HD minidisc recorder.

Oh, so lovely. It made me desperately homesick for upstate New York.
