Recorded on a hot, June afternoon in a village on Crete. The soundscape is dominated by cicadas, coming and going in chorus but other sounds of the village intervene occasionally. Recorded using AB Primo EM272s into a Sony A10.
Photo below of one of the musicians. It produces sound by flexing the segments of its abdomen producing clicks as they snap together. The abdomen is largely hollow so amplifies and resonates this clicking.

What a captivating soundtrack! The combination of chirping bees and rural life perfectly portrays a balmy afternoon on the island of Crete. I adore how the musician's distinct tone enriches the experience. Looking forward to learning more about this exciting ambiance! retro bowl online
