A recording of a carillon clock (automated musical bell ringing) in the Fountain Centre, Belfast. This one is called the Alice Clock, came from Hamburg and was installed in 2000. It is comprised of 24 bells and includes a show of animated figures based on the characters of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland.
This was very much a spontaneous grab using a small Sony A10. The recording is abbreviated on account of unusable sections with wind interference. I will try and go back and get a better recording using better equipment some time. The clock chimes every hour during the day, playing a different tune each time.
