Redundancy depends on usage in this case. I was specifically looking for 60 minutes session, here is why:
Let's say you want to use this on your portable audio player.
Except for the mentioned possible loop interrupt, I am not able to program my portable player to loop track for a specified period of time. So if I want a white noise session that stops after 60 minutes whether I fall asleep or not, this is the way to go.
On a PC I actually never have had a problem with loop continuity... depends a lot on buffer settings of media player used.

That depends how it is played back. As far as I know most PC based media players interrupt sound in a loop.

Surely a minute of white/pink/etc noise looped would be sufficient ? :
Would anyone be able to spot that it was looping ?
