This sound is a pitched down recording of a metal knife striking the prongs of a metal fork. I added some reverb and adjusted the EQ to make it sound like distant swords striking each other. This was used to simulate the ambient sounds of cutlasses in a pirate battle.
In addition to clashing swords, this track could be adjusted to mimic the sounds of a blacksmith working at his anvil or flint and steel in lighting a fire, among other sound effects.
