This recording is Waltz LXIII, an inspired piece of John Cages’ “A dip in the Lake”. Due to COVID-19 this piece was transcribed from Chicago, IL to Port Chester, NY. This piece was recorded from Neri’s Bakery, to The Capitol Theatre to St. Jon Bosco Parish. In this piece you can hear the inner workings of a busy bakery and cars buzzing by. More specific sounds that can be heard are people ordering pastries (00:21) and cars buzzing by (03:17). For this piece I kept it mostly unedited and raw. This was because I want to create a very detailed and true environment for the listener.
