This is an improvised piece of music that I made for an art installation carried out in 2021 and inspired by the tragedy known as "Kristallnacht" (which happened in November 1938) and also by migratory and refugee movements caused by wars and inequality. The art installation consisted of around 200 ~30cm mud figures with candles in their heads (see picture below) symbolising an exodus. The original audio also featured voice fragments from interviews, but the version uploaded here only includes the raw music, ready to be chopped and remixed.

More information about the installation can be found here: https://www.granollers.cat/vila-oberta-la-pau/kristallnacht-la-nit-dels-vidres-trencats (in Catalan only). The art installation was carried out by artists Pilar Ors, Marc Iturri, Julio Borg, Senén Roy, Anna Maimir and myself, in collaboration with Can Jonch Centre de Cultura per la Pau, Dimas Insersió Laboral, and the participants of the Dima's course +Oportunitats that were interviewed and also contributed with their voices and with mud figures.
The music was an improvisation divided in 4 parts, recorded in one go, all played with the Deckard's Dream synthesiser that I built myself and, of course, played with tons of reverb.

Thanks Frederic for this beautiful composition and the clear story about this terrible history. Now that we are once again in miserable times of war in Europe, the installation acquired a painful deep meaning.
Lets hope for the best.
