Some street works noise on background, very faint. First we herd the bells play 12 touches: this is the sign of noon. The sample comes from the real bells of the S. Anna Church in Las Palmas of Gran Canaria, Spain. Then we heard a traditional bell melody for three times. The left bell is louder because I was from the left side of the tour. Anyway is playing in late, maybe a cause of a latency of the mechanism. This give a strange rhythm to the melody. After this, you can appreciated the environmental sound coming from the below street works and from the bells of a far church sounding continuously. Then our bells repeat the 12hours sign, and some shoot appear from far away. At 3.36 another shoot and I turn the microphone in the direction of the background, so you can hear it more louder.
Recording chain: Mono Recording, Recorded on Zoom H4 with a single Sennheiser ME 66, cardioid highly directional. This mic is especially suitable for picking up quiet signals in noisy or acoustically live environments as it discriminates against sound not emanating from the main pick-up direction. This has allowed to obtain a very pure bell sound. (Also because I was on the top of the church ;-), 5m from the source. In any case there were very loud and annoying street works that the mic doesn't record). The Zoom H4 can only record on Stereo, so I edited the file erasing the right empty channel and I render the left channel Mono.
