Wood burning on a open fireplace. Recorded inside a large wooden goahti at Ylläskaltio hotel in Äkäslompolo, Finland.
Recorded with Roland R-26 at 44k 24-bit using XY mic pair. 48dB/oct hipass filter @ 30Hz and some limiting applied.

My SD card filled up so I didn't get to record fireplace sounds on my own, and yours fit the bill perfectly. EQ'd to make it more robust.

Thanks a lot of nice sound of open fireplace. I think that is one of the best sounds to use simulated house burning in our new theatre play -Hilman päivät-. We are poor amateurs and don´t get any salary of our works, but still we try to open our theatre play in Feb 2016. Thanks mr. el -bee.
