While I was recording the approach to the escalators out of the Maastunnel in Rotterdam, someone coming down the escalator dropped their bike, resulting in some very loud crashes and bangs as it tumbled down, only just missing a pedestrian. Luckily it missed, and the Zoom H4n was still going :)
The mic clipped in a couple of places (as you can imagine) but it's a great sound event to have accidentally captured !
