Twilight ambiance in scrub near Donana National Park, S Spain. Basically you hear crickets, a few soft frog croaks, Nightjar calls, and the rumble of waves on the distant beach. Note crickets sing timidly at first when there is still much light to slowly rise level as sunlight vanishes. Signal strength reaches a maximum around the middle of the sample. Recorded on the 21st of June 2007 (summer solstice) this sample encompasses the moment when Earth's axis began to tilt away from the sun in the N hemisphere that year. A magic hour :-) Senn MKH60+MKH30 into Fostex FR2LE(24 bit). Decoded to mid-side stereo with free VST Voxengo plugin, unedited otherwise. For those not willing to download the original a compressed version (21062007.magic.hour.mp3) is also available
