not for the faint of heart, young pigs' slaughter. Recorded in a country house's open yard near Cabra, S Spain. Sennheiser ME66 + MKH30, Shure FP24 preamp, Edirol R09 recorder. It was very hard for me to record this so I hope it's any use (should be hard to synthesize, I guess...)
EDIT: I feel the need to clarify. This is the traditional way of killing the pig in Spanish (and many other countries) rural environment. It is based on bleeding (severance of the major blood vessels), which is not the norm in industrial slaughter houses nowadays. There stunning is applied previously to reduce suffering. I uploaded this to document a cruel traditional practice, for the sake of anthropological interest if you wish. Listeners can extract her/his own ethic/moral implications.

Thank you for recording and uploading this. I will use it in a song I've made about slaughtering animals and I think their screams will really help get the message across.

To stop the madness, one must share the wrongs with the public. to do that, we document. But I simply could not bring myself to record these things myself so THAN YOU for uploading it.

Found a use - sped up and pitch-shifted, some parts of this sound like a rat squealing, and since there are no rat sounds on the site, this was good to have,
