This one is good, but I suggest a new take perhaps with a woman who is 7 or more months pregnant after she has walked around and/or had something to drink. I think you would want more anxiety, desparation - DRAMA in the breaths.
Good direction, by the way. You left a lot to work with. You may want to put headphones on the subject so you can coach them along to draw out more of what you want in the breaths.
Another suggestion is to do what the producers of Stevie Wonder's landmark "Songs in the Key of Life" did to get the sound they wanted in "Livin' for the city". They kept stopping him and giving some pretext to rerecord the track. In the wee hours of the morning he was tired, frustrated, angry, annoyed, etc. You can hear it in his voice - especially in the last verse. I don't suggest keeping your talent up to the wee hours of the morning recording for an effect - unless it is for a paid gig - but you can precipitate the effect you want.
