Short recording of an old tram/streetcar starting at Carmo in Porto. Ambient noise of people passing by and talking, traffic noise in the very far background. There are only very few small hissing sounds of the hydraulic system (e.g. 0:16), then starts a faint humming after 0:20 and at 0:40 the engine is starting and the tram driving away. Squeaking and rattling of the old wheels and engine sound. A little disturbance by wind in the end.
Recorded with Zoom Handy Recorder H2 with built-in W-XY cardioid-type stereo microphone.
