Fairly quiet (but quite audible) suburban recording (complete with background noises) of an Australian Magpie (Gymnorhina Tibicen) standing about 15 meters up a tree 'carolling / warbling'. At 1:45 a Noisy Miner starts an alarm call and then some distant ones kick in too. Not a great recording, the 'hiss' is actually wind in the trees. Works OK through headphones. Recording chain: Rode NT4 (stereo mic) – Sound Devices Mix Pre (Pre amp) – Edirol R-44 digital recorder.

Hi - Thank you very much for providing this sound. I'm not sure if the notification about pre-authorisation before using was there before when I downloaded it.
I have used it as part of a collage in a musical piece called "The Garden of Ediacara" which is listenable and downloadable on SoundCloud here: https://soundcloud.com/ivodne-galatea/the-garden-of-ediacara
I was looking for Australian Magpie songs. Your recording is fully acknowledged

To many your recordings should be attached photos or films, that's not only sounds but small stories
