A single loud squawk from a Peregrine falcon. Recorded at approximately 2 meters. It was excited about a mouse that it was about to be fed. On display at the Tasmanian Devil Conservation part in Tasmania, Australia. Recording chain: Panasonic WM61A (omni-directional microphones) - Edirol R09 (digital recorder). The microphones were resting on a bench either side of me so that I was acting as a baffle.

As a game developer, I must say this goes great as a sound effect of a cow hitting a bird!

Top notch - would never get such quality and be so close in a wild bird.
