This is the business end of Binaural Thunder A. http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=34765 What is it about thunder that sends us all scurrying for our field recording rigs? I see thunder sounds are some of the most downloaded on Freesound. In this recording I am standing under my eaves making a binaural recording. This one has some nice bass response (sub-woofers on!). Starts out with a distant rumble, then a semi-muted boom, not too loud. Geotag is the approximate location of the lightning.
