230621 - 01 - Audacity - The nightmare

I am sitting on the trunk of a fallen old tree with a fire in front of me, cooking dinner. Fish. Darkness has fallen on the Earth. Discomfort grew in me. How long had it been since I had sat so lonely somewhere in the wilderness? After dinner, I open a beer, take a sip or two, when I hear. What is it now? Where is it coming from? Are these sounds coming from a not-so-distant cave? I could only sit and wait to see what would happen.
