Recorded inside the nostrils of a giant congested beast.
Actually here is the real story.
I recently set up a radon fan which pulls radon gas from the ground below our house. It does this by creating suction in the french drain (perforated pipe) that runs around the outside of the footing and connects to a sump pump which sits in a hole in the corner of the basement. When this pipe is full of water, the fan pulls gases from the ground. However if it has not rained for a while, the water level drops in the pipe, and it makes this slurping sound until either the water disappears completely, or it rains and the pipe fills. So this sound does not happen very often.
This is just a short sample. I recorded it from various locations inside and above the hole to get different flavors of the sound. Also I recorded it across a couple of days so the "slurp frequency" changed a bit due to changing water level. I'll upload more in the coming days.
Recorded using the built-in mics of my Sony PCM-M10 recorder.
