Loud thunder rolling with cracks in distance.
These are high-quality copies of Hollywood original optical and mag effects from the 1930s through the '60s, transferred to full-track tape by USC Cinema. I have digitized them for preservation, but they have not all been restored and may have some noise.

OMG, awesome! I recognize this thunder... It was used in the 1984 classic, GHOSTBUSTERS! It occurs following the scenes when the Terror Dogs awaken during a terrible thunderstorm raging over 550 Central Park West. Dana Barrett ( Sigourney Weaver ) returns home and has a brief encounter with her partying, nerdy neighbor Louis Tully ( Rick Moranis ). He ( again ) gets locked out of his apartment and wails for someone to let him in. Dana knowingly nods to this common occurrence as she enters her apartment and shuts the door. She walks into her living room, puts down her keys, removes her coat... as this very THUNDER rumbles during the otherwise VERY QUIET scene... Then her phone RINGS startling her. It's her mother, they chat very briefly and then... ZUUL comes a calling. THANK YOU for posting this and your other vintage sound effects! Keep them coming! :D
