A hyper realistic "silenced gun shot".
Among the layers for creating this sound were; hitting bath tubs, water bottle sprays, a door lock and punching a phonebook... So no real guns then.

Hi, I used your work in a re-creation of a scene from the Lego Batman Movie. I think its great. Thanks very much for sharing. You can check out the video on YouTube at: https://youtu.be/DzOHpup-ZQU

Hi there,
I'm sorry you didn't like it.
I completely agree with you, it doesn't sound like a real gun in the slightest. I made this sound a few years ago and my skills have since improved.
By "hyper realistic" I mean the term, the way in which I used it was not meant to come across as a way of saying "very realistic". A hyper realistic sound is that which is over exaggerated to the extreme, for emphasis in it's use.
Best,
Chris

Sounds more like a phaser to be completely honest.
