In this sound, I'm closing a metal tripod. It's a very light, cheap tripod with legs that are likely aluminum. The legs are hollow tubes with two segments and little latches to hold the segments open/closed. I'm sliding the leg back in and then closing the latch. This happens twice per each of three legs. That sliding sound could likely be used separate from the complete tripod process. I've uploaded a few tripod recordings in case this one doesn't work for you!
