Surround ambience recorded in the post-grad study centre of the Merensky Library at the University of Pretoria. This is a space exclusive to post-grad students and is much quieter than the rest of the library. It has various meeting rooms and computer stations and you can hear people typing all round.
Recorded with 2 x Sennheiser MKH40 mics (rear and front Mid) and a Sennheiser MKH30 mic for the shared Side recorded into two Zoom H4n recorders. (Not such a practical setup, since upgraded to a Tascam DR-680). Recording decoded into regular 5.1 (L R C LFE Ls Rs), but you can use either of the front or back stereo pairs for stereo ambiences.
