The main difference between sound waves and electromagnetic (EM) waves is that sound waves are mechanical waves that require a medium to travel, while electromagnetic (EM) waves are not mechanical and can travel through a vacuum.
When a coil experiences a changing external magnetic field, a voltage is induced across it, which drives an electric current, a phenomenon known as electromagnetic induction.
This pack is dedicated to Electromagnetic Field recordings using the Electrovision Telephone Pickup Coil AR71814. I like a lot this pickup coil because it is selective in frequency and it's not active as a wideband software defined radio, which enables some more defined sounds to be recorded.
