This is a soundwalk from the very edge of the seaside to the entrance of Club Natació Barcelona.
At the beginning you can hear waves and sailors preparing their catamarans to sail.
Then, the nearby swimming club plays its anthem in Catalan, like every day at 2 p.m.
The recorder is progressively brought from the sea to the entrance of the club. The sound of the sea progressively disappears. Now you can hear sounds of bikes, skates, rollers and scooters passing by. The leader of a sport team calls up the group. The club's loudspeakers call the name of one member. The recording is about to finish when two ladies with high heels walk by, observing the recorder and asking each other: "Qué está fent?" (what is she doing?).
Sound recorded by Ilaria Sartori in the framework of the project Barceloneta Sonora. May 2013.
