The sound of a household basement water pump pumping water from a well. You hear en electric motor as well as the sound of water flowing and being sucked through the pump.
I dedicate this sound to my old friend Casey Mongillo, who will remember this sound well as when we were in the middle of playing a game down in the basement, Grandma would be doing the dishes or having a bath upstairs, and this would go off, ruining our concentration. It's been eons, but I still miss those days.
A very special thanks to the current owners for letting me revisit the house and record the sound of this pump. Sadly, my grandparents who previously owned this house passed away due to cancer, and new people live there. I am grateful to them for letting me revisit this house and get this sound for all of you. I hope the freesound community enjoys this little sound from my grandparents' old house.
