This is my son's heartbeat through a Doptone,
recorded with an old dictaphone. Captured on my computer with a M-Audio
24/96 soundcard. I edited it in Soundforge; I made the sample a bit
longer by copying some fragments and adding them to the existing
sample. Used an equalizer to remove some of the hiss. I also used some
compression to stress the low frequencies a bit more.
You hear a watery sound, that's the Doptone
looking for the heartbeat; it's a very bubbling sound. Sometimes you
hear the heartbeat, that's that high pounding sound with a more splashy
character.
