Field recording captured beside a garden birdfeeder in a quiet residential area. The soundscape is built from a few layers of bird song: a robin’s bright calls, the soft chatter of goldfinches, and the sharper rhythms of a great tit. You also hear the gentle rush of wings as the birds sweep past the mic, giving the recording a sense of movement and closeness.
Behind it all sits a trace of the wider world, including a distant passing train that adds depth and a natural sense of place.
It’s a small portrait of a living garden: intimate, detailed, and full of character. Ideal for sound design, nature documentaries, calm ambiences, or as a textured background for installation work.
Recorded on a Zoom H5 in stereo. No processing or EQ applied.
