Field recording captured from the window of a cruise ship under construction at the Saint-Nazaire shipyard, France. The soundscape features the layered rhythm of industrial work — forklift engines, metallic clangs, saws cutting through steel, faint shouts and footsteps echoing through the dock.
It’s a portrait of a working port: mechanical, alive, and constantly shifting. The perspective from inside the ship adds a natural acoustic filter, softening some sounds while amplifying others; a subtle sense of distance and space.
Ideal for use in sound design, documentaries, industrial ambiences, or as textural background for installation work.
Recorded on a Zoom H5 in 32-bit float, XY stereo capsule. No processing or EQ applied.
