large explosion 2

First, I made a generic sounding 8 bit explosion sound with an 8 bit sound generator (I used sfxr). Then, I opened the sound with an audio editor and made a copy of that sound. I changed the speed of the track and applied a low pass filter. Copy the new track and repeat 2 or 3 times. This procedure makes it sound more 'boom' and adds some bass. Lastly, I have applied reverb to the first track. I have also applied some more filters but I don't clearly remember what exactly I did.

my question is... how did you make this? o.o
