Lorenz Attractor (a chaotic function) used as input to a tone generator.
Each plane (XY, XZ, YZ) contributes a single sine wave whose frequency varies according to the polar angle of the function in that plane. Each plane maps to its own separate range of frequencies (XY = low, XZ = mid and YZ = high). The amplitudes are controlled by the distance (radius) of the attractor function from the origin in each plane. The three waves are then overlaid to form the output.
The attractor uses the standard parameters originally used by Lorenz.
Here's what it looks like (frequency vs time):
May be useful as a spacey UFO or ghostly sound, possibly.
