This is a recording of a handgun being fired at a shooting range. The gain is slowly turned down after each shot to retrieve multiple variations of the sound's pitch. This was recorded 15 metres away from the sound source resulting in a high impact sound. This was recorded on Zoom H6 Handy Recorder with XYH-6 Adjustable Stereo Microphone Capsule. The sound was post-processed with compression in REAPER (DAW) to create a cleaner sound of the shots with a moderate dynamic range. The purpose of this recording is for the expansion of the Open Window sound library.
