Captured the beep sound of LG microwave, then added blurry FIR to it. Useful in granular synthesis.

Huh. Why does it say this is inappropriate, it's a very useful sound.

Main sample, is a beep sound of the microwave. The FIR is the same sample (a process called Self-convolution), boosted the low end and reduced the high end, the applied (Blur) FX using Edison in FL Studio, then loaded this new sample as an FIR impulse in Edison convolution reverb.
To replicate the Blur effect, it is basically the wet amount of linear reverb.
Same technique is very useful to give organic decay tails on short sliced drum samples.

This sounds great! Out of curiosity, what did you use for the blurry FIR?
