IF you don't hear anything, it's normal. You might hear a click when turning it on/off.
Generated this infrasonic noise in audacity, white noise filtered below 17hz, a few 1hz and 2hz sinewaves that are amplitude modulated.
Id love to see how this goes on a big 18" woofer. does it visibly vibrate back n forth ? I'd presume not but hey.

Audacity's low pass filter is 48db/octave,
need to apply that repeatedly to ensure there's nothing above 20Hz.
