A sound shot taken at the gates of Auschwitz Birkenau lager, a place where German killed over 1 milion person. Normally when it's closed for visitors there is nothing but silence. You can here gravel walk, passing through metal crate over railway, people waiting for ticket, children, international speech, cars. Recorded via Zoom H2 rear, kept in hand while walking.

Thanks. Makes one think. I once visited the place. The most shocking thing was that it (the Birkenau section) was so large. I mean, huge. Sounds of walking somehow catch that feeling. And, in a symbolic way, the time perspective of 65 years, too.
