I used a single portion of this recording to create the sound of a crossbow bolt being fired into rocky soil, as part of my most recent audio project. The sound effects suite for the crossbow took a bit of searching to fully assemble...but I'm so glad I was able to get it to come out right, in part because of your sound clip.
