This little clip containing two close lightning strikes was taken from my recording of a brief but aggressive thunderstorm with mostly ground rather than in-cloud strikes — https://freesound.org/people/Philip_Goddard/sounds/654543/.
WARNING!
Ths has been slowed down to 50%, which means that the sound is all transposed an octave down. This means that a lot more of the energy is in the bass frequencies.
For safety therefore, I strongly recommend that instead of the crazily huge playing volume boost of 24dB above a normal sensible level, which is essential for a meaningful experience from the full unadulterated recording, for this little clip you boost the volume 'only' to 15dB (or less, if your equipment doesn't have good power handling ability).
