My first field recording!
Recording taken on 17th June 2012 with Sony PCM-M10 using internal mics and Rycote Mini Windjammer. Despite the breeze being only gentle at this spot, the Mini Windjammer didn't completely eliminate wind noise.
The situation is about 2/3 way up the hill that extends out to the narrowly connected Cambeak headland that extends westwards on the south side of Crackington Haven. The recorder is pointing obliquely to the north side of the rugged miniature mountain of the Cambeak headland itself.
The Atlantic swell was quite low on this occasion, so the sound is pleasant but unspectacular.
Please note that the volume level of this recording has been carefully adjusted for listening purposes, and ALL my recordings so far are meant to be listened to with a volume setting that would give a realistic level for playback of CLASSICAL music (a large but not exceptional symphony orchestra). If you have the right volume setting, you should not need to change that setting from one recording of mine to another.
Please remember to give this recording a rating!
