This started life as an acoustic guitar riff followed by some slide guitar and bass. The speed and pitch have been changed a couple of times, and the tempo has been messed with too - but none of these in an organised way. I then stretched the whole piece using the Paulstretch effect in Audacity (2.3.3) and selected this section of a much longer piece. A little bit of reverb has been added but not much.
It has quite an effective eerie atmosphere, with the slides adding a nice ghost-like effect. It has a more metallic sheen than I intended and sounds like something more from a videogame than something cinematic.
