Are you a fan of humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) song? If so, then the MBARI_MARS long playing (LP) series of humpback whale song recordings is for you. This recording is the first in the series.
Each of these recordings contains hours of continuous song captured with a quiet ocean background in deep water off Santa Cruz, California. These recordings are from an oceanic soundscape project. More information is available about this research and education project as well as the occurrence of humpback whale song off central California.
