The story behind the sign of Scorpio: The Giant Scorpion Hunter vs The Giant Human Hunter.

This is about the battle of Scorpio and Orion. The battle that was so lively, so remarkable, that it even caught the attention of Zeus, the God of the Sky and the Thunder!

I love mythology and the story about the battle of Scorpio and Orion suddenly popped up in my mind. I read about it a long time ago.

And I thought that I must bring this story to awareness, to the surface, and share it with the world!

I searched on Freesound about anything related, however I found nothing. So I decided to create a sound for it!

However, I wanted to search some more on Freesound. I searched and dug for some time - until I found these three useful sounds:

* "Fast Crawling Bu" by dasrealized (licensed under the Creative Commons 0 License!) [2020-03-01].
- Links: https://freesound.org/people/dasrealized/sounds/266014/
* "SRS_Cinematic_Hit" by StephenSaldanha (licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License!) [2020-03-01].

* "Epic_Battle_Music_1.MP3" by Airwolf89 (licensed under the Creative Commons 0 License!) [2020-03-01].

I downloaded them, cleaned them, and made lots of other changes (lots of details!), overrode some bad quality drum smashes, made lots of improvements - and finally remastered them.

Then I used the three remastered files to create the battle of Scorpio and Orion! I mixed these sounds to make it even more epic, more dangerous!

I could've made lots of more changes, and made it even more dramatic, however, I wanted to leave the rest up to the listener's fantasy.

It was much about planning, knowing what sounds to use, and how to use the different sounds, timing, and creating tension -- that action to make the battle between Scorpio and Orion lively!

Thanks to the Freesounders credited above for publishing useful stuff!

The story:

It all began with the hunter Orion.

Orion was a giant, and a skilled hunter who used to hunt and kill animals. He one day made a bold claim - that he can kill all living creatures on Earth.

Orion threatened to kill all the creatures in the world, most possibly to impress Artemis, the Goddess of the Wilderness, among others.

Gaia, the Goddess of the Earth, heard about this, and felt that the creatures in the world, her children, were in danger.

She had to do something about Orion, and decided together with Apollo, the God of the Light and the Art, and who was also the twin brother of Artemis, to kill Orion.

Gaia summoned Scorpio (Scorpius) - a giant Scorpion, and sent him to hunt the hunter Orion.

Giant Orion heard about this and ran away - so far far away from the Scorpio as he could.

However this didn't help. Scorpio managed to track and find Orion, and the battle began.

The battle was so remarkable, so lively, that even Zeus, the God of the Sky and the Thunder, noticed the battle.

Scorpio settled at nothing other than to sting and kill Orion, and finally succeeded.

Since Scorpio won the tough, strenuous battle, Scorpio was placed in the sky by Zeus as an honour and as a reminder to the world.

What I think this story about Orion teaches us: We humans are too prideful, sadistic, barbaric and evil.

I searched on YouTube to find a video to support the story I just told, and stumbled upon Hannah's really, really, awesome video called:

GREEK MYTHOLOGY OF SCORPIO | Orion vs The Scorpion | Hannah's Elsewhere

Go watch it!

If you happen to have a Scorpio dad, mom, brother, sister, cousin, friend, teacher, or neighbour, SHARE this story with them!

If you enjoyed the sound, please RATE, COMMENT, SPREAD! It really helps!

NOTE: Make sure to check out the other MATRIXXX-sounds! The sound quality is always better when you download the sound(s)! ⛄

    You're welcome!

    Yes, of course.

Just beware, if you're going to upload your video to YouTube, you may run into a problem, and that is that YouTube may tell you that this sound has been used by someone else.

However, you can always provide a link and tell them where you got this sound from in worst case, and hopefully YouTube will look into it. They should!

I don't know how it is nowadays, but you can always try it out and see for yourself.

    Good luck!
