If you've got a copy Jesus Christ Superstar, listen to the second to last track, Crucifixion, and skip about 60 seconds in. You'll hear actresses singing notes, sounding eerie, much like this. It's clearer in the Broadway (1971) version than the film (1973), but it's there in both. I wonder what the score for it looks like. "Sing Random Notes into a Large Diaphragm Capacitor Microphone", perhaps? ;-)
