Series of recordings I made in the mountains in the Chiang Mai region, Thailand, near the border with Myanmar. All recordings were made around midnight, except this one, in a small valley I can’t find back on the map. One side of the hill had a small tea plantation, the other hillsides were covered with impenetrable vegetation. These are the sounds at dawn when people and day-time animals awake Sony PCM-D50
