I've used a Rhode NT1-A plugged into M-AUDIO Fastrackpro USB Interface, to record two tracks of the speech into Ableton LIVE 8, which have then been fully panned left right, passed through Amp and Overdrive plug-in, while mid frequencies have been scooped.
