One minute of late night Great Egret, Ardea alba, calls from East River Pool impoundment in the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge. These large birds are gathering in numbers in the month of December, 2021 and foraging at night. Listen carefully as their calls echo back and forth across the open water of the East River Pool. Sony PCM recorder, LOM MikroUsi mics, fuzzy windscreens and drybags. Recorder and mics placed in a shoreline buttonbush overnight.
