Four minutes of a White-eyed Vireo songbird (Vireo griseus) calling across the marshes of St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge. The White-eyed Vireo is a small bird who prefers open, grassy expanses for insect, caterpillar and berry foraging. The songbird's call can be recognized by the 'clicks' heard just before and after their five or six note call (listen for the sharp clip-like chirp). Its body has a yellowish over white hue with dark wings and tail. The bird has white stripes, perpendicular to and across the wing.
