For my 666th upload, here's something rather chilling - several hundreds of people screaming. Created by stitching together nearly 200 of my own recordings of roller coaster screams at Disney's "Expedition Everest". I took the result and pasted it in reverse for added discomfort. Reduced frequencies below 500Hz due to the roller coaster rumbling. A lot of unfortunate cicada clutter in the higher ends, but should probably blend well with other screaming sounds.

If any of these sounds have been of help, and you are feeling charitable, please do consider donating to Freesound to help keep the site running (a link is also on the home page). Any donations are greatly appreciated! And for more awesome sounds, do please check out my sound libraries.

Please comment on where you intend to use the sound, and feel free to post a link to the work where you used it if you want (I enjoy watching/listening to anything you create!)

You don't have to worry about crediting this sound if you are using it for non-commercial projects unless you want to (e.g. educational or non-profit activities), but if you use the sound for a commercial project you must credit the sound. If you would prefer to not have to give attribution for commercial projects, then take a look at the attribution-free license.

An example of how you might credit is by putting this in the description/credits:
"Crowd Screaming, A.wav" by InspectorJ of Freesound.org

The sound was recorded using a "Zoom H1 recorder".

Originally recorded on 9th and 10th August 2017, and edited together in Audacity on 15th March 2018.

Note: Audio quality is always better when downloaded.

Hello! I plan to use this audio for a sound design project for a college course I'm taking — making a soundscape of the eruption of Vesuvius.

Heh, I might use this as a terror-scream during a "cute city destruction" ;)
If it ends up being in the short clip I will def post it, probably in a private message to you InspectorJ.
Disregard if I use it or not, big thanks!
