A small, foldaway, plastic, battery-powered, handheld camping lamp. Made out of hard plastic, metal and a soft, rough plastic covering sheet. The lamp was opened and closed at various speeds creating clipping, locking and pneumatic sounds. When the lamp was open the soft, rough plastic was rubbed against itself in a twisting motion creating grinding, sandpaper sounds.

Technical Specifications: Recorded with a Zoom H6 recorder using the attached stereo XY microphones. The sound was post-processed to make it more crisp and impactful (basic EQ, dB adjustment and trimming on Reaper DAW). Recorded indoors in a semi-soundproofed room on a rainy and overcast afternoon in Pretoria, South Africa.

I love it. Perfect use for random gear noises for a soldier.
