Homemade plastic rain-stick played at various lengths and shakes. Plastic bottle with thin and thick metal nails stuck in it filled with several sound producing, dry items such as: rice, chickpeas, chalk, foil, mustard seeds, coriander seeds, matches etc. Earthy, crisp, shaky, watery sounds.
Technical Specifications: Recorded with a Zoom H6 recorder using the attached stereo XY microphones. The sound was post-processed to make it more crisp and impactful (basic EQ, dB adjustment and trimming on Reaper DAW). Recorded indoors in a semi-soundproofed room on a rainy and overcast afternoon in Pretoria, South Africa.
