Fake Vinyl or Fake Fire Crackle
4 different types of crackling in different intensities.
These can be used either for a campfire or for mixing in a vinyl track. Maybe you can find one or the other useful crackling sound?
This was created with a candy wrapper. Recorded with a Sennheiser e865S and a Behringer USB interface. The resulting background noise is only slightly processed in the lows and should be around -60dB. With a gate filter it could be separated quite well from the louder crackle. Compressors are used for a slight increase in sound density. The RMS level is -55dB, the peak level -10dB.
